SM엔터테인먼트는 기존의 하와이 전문 여행사 ‘해피하와이’를 유상증자 방식으로 인수하여 ‘에스엠타운트래블’로 상호를 변경, 여행, 관광 관련 비즈니스를 전개할 예정이다.

㈜에스엠타운트래블(대표 강정현, www.smtowntravel.com)은 기존에 추진하고 있던 하와이 관련 비즈니스 및 항공, 관광 서비스 비즈니스와 함께 이번 인수를 통하여 SM엔터테인먼트가 가지고 있는 높은 글로벌 브랜드 인지도와 전 세계적인 K-POP, 한류 열풍을 바탕으로 다양하고 새로운 여행 상품, 패키지 등을 개발하고, 교육과 문화를 교류하는 Culture Exchange사업 등도 전개할 예정이다.
